JCRD of Radar level meter

1. Product overview

1.1 Introduction

JCRD series sensors are advanced radar level measuring instruments with a maximum measuring distance of 35 meters. They can be used for level measurement of storage tanks, intermediate buffer tanks or process containers and output 4-20 mA analog signals.

1.2 Application

Advanced non-contact measurement is adopted. Made of extremely stable materials Measuring the Level of Liquid and Solid Media All media with dielectric constants > 1.8 can be measured The measuring range is 0…20m (it can be extended to 35m) Using two-wire system and loop power supply technology, power supply voltage and output signal are transmitted through a two-core cable. 4 mA-20 mA output or digital signal output Resolution:1mm Not affected by noise, steam, dust, vacuum and other working conditions It is not affected by the changes of medium density, viscosity and temperature. The process pressure can reach 40bar. The process temperature can reach 250℃

1.3 Measuring principle

High-frequency microwave pulses are transmitted and received through an antenna system, radar waves run at the speed of light, and the running time can be converted into level signals through electronic components. A special time extension method can ensure stable and accurate measurement in a very short time. Even if there are false echoes under complicated working conditions, the echo of the level can be accurately identified by the latest micro-processing technology and debugging software.

1.4 Input

The antenna receives the reflected microwave pulse and transmits it to the electronic circuit, and the microprocessor processes the signal to identify the echo generated by the micro pulse on the surface of the material. Correct echo signal identification is completed by intelligent software, and the accuracy can reach millimeter level. The distance D from the surface of the material is proportional to the time travel T of the pulse: D=C×T/2 ( C is the speed of light). If the distance e of the empty tank is known, the level L is: L=E-D

1.5 Output

By inputting empty tank height E(be equal to zero point), full tank height F(be equal to full scale) and some application parameters to set, the application parameters will automatically adapt the instrument to the measurement environment. Corresponding to 4mA----20mA output.
