Summarize
Most of the failures of mechanical equipment are caused by mechanical wear. There is a lot of information about wear state in wear particles. Monitoring them can judge the current wear state or the form of wear. When damage is about to occur, the number of metal particles in the lubricating oil will increase sharply. The diameter of metal particles will also increase. According to the accumulated total number of detected metal particles, key indicators can be given: whether there is a fault, when to stop the machine, and how long it can run, which can prevent secondary damage, effectively reduce the repair cost, reduce the interval between production stops, and minimize the loss caused by interruption. The sensor uses electromagnetic induction principle to detect the quantity of metal particles in the lubrication system as the basis for judging the damage degree of bearings or gear boxes. The sensor must be installed at the lowest point of the return line before the filter. Every time a metal particle is detected, the sensor will automatically accumulate and count the particles and regularly send the total number of particles detected in this time period to the upper computer.
