Product Overview
The JCKZ-4 Particle Counter employs the light extinction method (also known as the extinction method or light blockage method) specified in ISO 4402/ISO 11171 for oil contamination testing. It offers advantages such as fast testing speed, strong anti-interference capability, high accuracy, and excellent repeatability.
The principle of the light extinction method is illustrated in Figure 2-1. A parallel light beam passes perpendicularly through a sample flow chamber with a cross-sectional area of A and strikes a photodetector. When there are no particles in the fluid flow, the circuit outputs a voltage of E. When a particle with a projected area of a passes through the sample flow chamber, it blocks the parallel light beam, causing the transmitted light to attenuate. At this point, the circuit outputs a negative pulse with an amplitude of E:

E = (a/A) × E If the particle is spherical, or described by an equivalent diameter d, and E equals 10V, then
E = 7.854 × d²/A That is, there is a linear relationship between the particle’s projected area and the pulse voltage amplitude.
Applications
The JCKZ-4 Particle Counter is designed based on the light-blocking (optical blockage) principle and is used for real-time online monitoring of particle contamination in hydraulic system oil circuits. It is widely applicable for detecting solid particle contamination in hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, transformer oil (insulating oil), turbine oil, gear oil, engine oil, jet fuel, water-based hydraulic fluid, and other fluids used in the aviation, aerospace, power generation, petroleum, chemical, transportation, port, metallurgy, machinery, and automotive manufacturing industries, as well as for detecting particulate impurities in organic liquids and polymer solutions.
